WELCOME!

Welcome to my Blog! I will be using this to post sneak peeks from portrait sessions, announcement specials, and to help you get to know me and my photographic style.

In a few words, I am an on-location, natural light, lifestyle photographer. I strive to capture the organic moments of every stage of life. The real moments. The natural interactions. The ones that will evoke emotion, every time you reflect on them.

I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend. I am a photograher and a speech-language pathologist. I am a perfectionist yet still a big kid at heart.

I hope you enjoy your visit enough to add me to your regular blog reads. I also hope that from time to time, you give me some feedback by leaving me a comment.

{The Most BOOtiful Ghost Ever!!} - Sarasota Baby Photographer

I might be a little biased, I admit, but I cannot image that there is a more adorable ghost anywhere. Here is my sweet Caroline (@ 2 1/2 months) trying on her costume before tonight's big Trick-or-Treat Hayride. More pictures of the "big" kids to come later.

{Sneak Peek - 19 month old Lily} - Sarasota Child & Family Photographer

I posted a sneak peek of Lily's newborn sister last week. I thought I would share just a couple of Big Sister Lily tonight. She has the most beautiful curls and brown eyes that tell a story without words. Lily was a little chatter box at just 19months old and was a perfect little lady during the session.

I love this shot. It's one of my favorite from the day.

{Sneak Peek - 8 days young} - Sarasota Newborn Photographer

I was honored to photograph 8-day old Camilla and her big sister Corin today. Camilla was bright-eyed and awake for much of the session, she didn't want to miss a thing. She really enjoyed looking out the sliding glass doors where we set up to shoot. With a little persistence and lots of "shhhh, shhhh, shhhing", Camilla finally fell asleep and we got some beautiful shots. I was also able to capture some of Corin showing me her personality. Thanks Kristi for welcoming me into your home and allowing me to photograph your beautiful girls.

Here's Corin being silly.

So curious!

Finally, asleep.

Lil' piggies

I love little baby wrinkles

She has such distinct features already.

Seriously... How precious!

{Sweet Baby Ayla} - Sarasota Newborn Photographer

The day started off quite foggy and with a sky full of clouds, not a good sign for a natural light photographer. But, I was greeting with the most beautiful and perfect setting, just outside Ayla's mom and dad's bedroom. The weather was absolutely perfect for an outdoor picture day. Ayla, just 17 days old, was beyond cooperative. She slept, ate, pooped, got pictures taken, slept, ate, pooped, got pictures taken. You get the idea. We were able to use lots of sentimental items in her pictures, making these images even more precious. G-family, Thank you for allowing me to photograph you and Ayla, I hope you enjoy your sneak peak.

{Sneak Peek - Baby Annabelle} - Sarasota Newborn Photographer

I had the pleasure of photographing baby Annabelle and her family yesterday. She was 21 days old exactly. She was such a trooper. Anna slept peacefully during her outdoor photoshoot, depsite the 90+ degree temperatures. Here are just a couple from the session.

7 weeks - Sarasota Newborn Photographer

Caroline is 7 weeks old today. She is still a fairly easy-going baby. She does have a crabby period almost everyday, ironically, right when I am trying to get dinner ready. The sound of the vacuum calms her down almost immediately. I guess she's like her mama, a clean house calms me down too. The recent cooler weather have made us all happy, as she also really enjoys being outside for walks in the stroller (and being carried even more). She smiles when I sing to her (I'm not sure if she's laughing at my attempts, but I guess it's better than her crying). She's is pretty stingy with her smiles though and I've only been able to catch them on camera this week.

Big Girl!

Happy Baby!

Photographer's Child Syndrome already!
